as mentioned in the other blog, i don't have a moral opposition to giving up. but, that's a misinterpretation of the situation.

in fact, i listen to quite a bit of new music, as can be seen here.

but, i don't like most of it - i don't like the way it sounds, i don't like it's attitudes and i don't share it's values.

i've always been deeply opposed to fashion, as a concept. i've never been one to change my views or ideas based on what's popular. and, right now, i don't have anything in common with the prevailing views or ideals in pop culture.

that will change, no doubt.

but, for right now, i'll continue criticizing what i don't like, rather than trying to fit in to something that i don't actually even want to be a part of.
