i tried a few times, but i couldn't get into their 90s stuff, it just lacked the punk rock pizazz that the better post-rock acts had. then again, i didn't like sigur ros, either, for mostly the same reasons.
anyways, this is awful. what was going through my mind was that it was the most bourgeois thing you could possibly due to a punk song. i was imagining some art school grad in a smug sweater and those dumb glasses singing it in a church, with candles, trying to get the audience to feel the spiritual awakening of it...
...and completely missing the point of it.
