i have to admit that i'm not at all familiar with her work in a past life as a drummer, but the bit of sound i can find on the internet of this particular project seems to be a little bit lacking - there's hints of more developed or more abstract sound construction, but a lot of it is a little aimless, even by the genre's standards.

the particular combination of ambience with stringed instruments, though, actually reminds me of some of my own work, particularly my seventh symphony, trepanation nation, which was first written in 2002. so, i wonder if this is some of the stuff that i heard shettler spin at marble and reminded me of myself, as i was dealing with the consequences of randomly scarfing down random edibles. he's putting on the show, so there's some chance...

as mentioned: it's january, and this is the far bar. it's unseasonably warm right now, but it's still sub-freezing when the sun sets, at around 17:00. so, i'd have to get my bike fixed, and then weather an overnight on a tuesday in the cold. it doesn't seem worth it....

it may be relatively interesting, though, so if the logistics are less complex for you...
