i have a new years resolution.

instead of trying to fix everything so it's perfect and i can finish everything effortlessly, i am going to need to adjust to the chaotic nature of the reality around me and focus on being pragmatic.

i need to start over in 1996 and i need to do that in order to focus. i will need to be project-oriented rather than process-oriented, moving forward. i'm going to need to work on one release at a time, starting with inri000. as i do so, i will need to pull together data from as any different places as i can find. that may leave my notes chaotic and unorderly, but i'll need to address it as i go.

i'm never going to move on, otherwise.

as mentioned previously, the journal is being moved offline, but i need to eliminate that as a process and do it project-by-project, instead.

that may mean finishing inri000 may be lengthy. that's ok.

in fact, i need to unpublish everything and start from total scratch.

everything.

this is currently a temporary stream page. streams will come up and down as i'm done with them.

there is a longer term list, here:
https://deathtokoalas.blogspot.com/p/np-list.html

i'm moving the cst listening to local streaming because i think my psychotic landlords are trying to capture and livestream my playlist as some kind of listening party, and making you watch an ad for wonderbra in the process. this affects me because it's degrading the sound quality in my own listening space by decreasing the amperage to my speakers, which can and should take quite a bit of power. they also insist on manipulating the signal by adding garbage like bass boosts and subwoofers (or subbass emulation) and noise reduction, which is digital trickery that is designed to produce compensation for low quality speakers and make inexpensive hardware sound better. i'm running kefs and celestions from the 70s and 80s, which are using old technology that is built for clean reproduction; it's actually less about good and bad and more about the fact that these speakers are designed for immaculate reproduction, intentionally, which is why they were chosen in the first place. i don't want "digital enhancements" at all because my system doesn't need them but, regardless, my speakers are not manufactured for the era of instagramization, where everything is run through preset and plugins and filters. if your parents were smart, they fucking hated dolby noise reduction, and whatever phone filter they're putting the signal through is a million fucking times worse. my speakers and my system are designed for clean reproduction and the output will sound the best with the least amount of digital manipulation introduced into it. they're doing insane things like mangling the signal by sending it over wifi and filtering it with their phone, and then they somehow actually think it sounds better because they're used to and expect that level of sound degradation. you'd might as well just put a sample of a truck rumbling on infinite loop for them.

======

i was listening to al di meola over the summer and will get back to it but i've commented the streams out for now out of respect for the artist.
