this is a mix of familiar influences, but i'm not sure it really comes together well. in the sense that it sounds like a mash-up of sonic youth and fucked up at points, with dashes of la dispute, it seems somewhat cultivated as a lost art form, in the sense that these are kids sorting through old records. maybe they'll develop something more original as they age a little.
