it's not really that mike keneally is the best guitar player that's ever lived. it's more like mike keneally has the greatest guitar style that's ever been constructed. frank can't even compete with this, the lyrical nature of the playing is just on a different plane. this is more like zappa level technicality with hendrix level creativity. tremendously inspiring...

Maybe some of that's true, but either way its possibly one of a number of reasons why FZ hired him for the 88 Tour.

apparently, the primary reason is that he could pick the material up in seconds - and he could already play the bulk of it. apparently, he didn't even have to practice it.

true virtuoso level talent, in the actual meaning of the term - seemingly god-given, natural abilities.
