Francesca - una romana a Londra
it's all about Billy Corgan.  he's the reason why this album is so beautiful. Courtney Love? Bah.

Hellooooo, pleaseeee, courtney was ALL the head of this project, there would be no celebrity skin without courtney !!, even  was her  idea to bring billy's lyrics to this project, he CO-writed the album, with courtney, and also there was stuff kurt cobain writed before his death, and was later used on this album , which i think it's the best of their work, even better than LTT

Yup.

registradus
nope.

Frederic Gauthier
her voice fit perfectly with this song and her style so lets say all together they made something pretty good

stickloaf
jealous much?...shut up

Meredith Harrison
I agree that Billy's ridiculously over-credited for this album (mainly because people refuse to give Courtney and her bandmates the credit they deserve) but since when was there music of Kurt's on this record? I've never heard such a thing. Sounds made up, honestly. The title of "Use Once and Destroy" might be derived from one of his journals, but actual music? I don't think that's the case...

That may be that Corgan wrote this.... but I'd rather hear Courtney Love sing this song rather than Billy Corgan; and to see Courtney and Melissa Auf Der Maur perform in this is spine chilling!!!!

Meredith Harrison
Billy CO-wrote this song. Don't say that he wrote it because it implies that the entire track was written by him which isn't true.

John Smith
I don't think it's over credit per se, Billy is credited for making contributions in both lyrics and musical compositions on 5 songs. He also played bass on at least 3 different songs on the studio recording of album (uncredited), which Courtney and Eric mentioned in interviews years later. Courtney even said Billy had to play bass on "Petals" b/c Melissa couldn't.

It's all about your ego  it's the reason why you're so jealous ;)

allan kay
pretty sure it was Kurt Cobain and Not CorgaIN

this particular track carries essentially all of corgan's stylistic characteristics. you don't have to guess or read into it; an analysis of the guitar work and the melodic content makes it clear who wrote and helped produce it.

Just from what I know, most of SP is so much darker than this song.  Except maybe 33.  It is hard for me to relate this to a SP song due to the faster tempo and lyrics.

she is amazing she is not fake  .....

deathtokoalas
well, i wouldn't say she's a fake. she credited the people that helped write the tracks., if she denied it, i think that would open up the question. but it's all there in the liner notes.

it's not like this is really that brilliant in the first place. i actually think kurt would have been pretty embarrassed by this.
