wax trax! released a large amount of important us industrial releases in the 80s and early 90s before it was bought by tvt. tvt stopped releasing wax trax! albums within a few years and eventually went bankrupt. wax trax is apparently still operating as a music store, but it's actually not clear who owns the wax trax! back catalog, in 2026.
